Masdaf Explained Pump Technologies To YTÜ Students at Yıldız Talks

Masdaf, the leading brand in the pump industry, continues to support projects that contribute to university-industry collaboration.

This time, Masdaf hosted students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of YTÜ at the Yıldız Talks event organized by the Machinery Technologies Club of Yıldız Technical University.

Committing to sharing its 44 years of knowledge and experience in the pump industry with its stakeholders through events, training and seminars held by Mas Academy, Masdaf continues to support projects that will contribute to university-industry collaboration.

This time, Masdaf hosted students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of YTÜ at the live Yıldız Talks event organized by Yıldız Technical University Machinery Technologies Club (MAKTEK). The students had the opportunity to closely monitor the installation and disassembly practices of pump technologies at the event that was held at the Düzce factory of Masdaf under COVID-19 measures.

During the first session of the all-day event, Duygu ERTEKİN, Marketing Manager of Masdaf, informed the students of the Masdaf and pump industry. Referring to the projects implemented by Masdaf within the university-industry collaboration, ERTEKİN also shared information on the “Masdaf Inter-Universities Project Competition,” a first in the industry, where students will be able to demonstrate their professional knowledge that they acquired throughout their education.

In the second live session of the event, with strong attendance, Önder Kırıkçılar, Masdaf Technical Office Team Leader, installed and disassembled SPLT and HEXA series pumps. The questions of the students who attended the interactive event with live broadcasting were also answered.

In the third session, a factory trip was held accompanied by İbrahim DEMİR, Masdaf Plant Manager. The students were informed of areas of use for tanks, water booster and pump groups, operating principles and production processes, machining, press shop, welding room, water booster installation, pump installation, accouplement, performance and hydrostatic testing, wet paint, powder paint, storage and shipping processes.

A “Mas Academy Certificate” was awarded to all participants at the end of the event.
