Agricultural Lands in Kahramanmaraş Come to Life with Masdaf!

“DSI Sireşanlı Pumping Irrigation Project 1st Section”, which is built for the irrigation of an agricultural land of 22,500 decares in Kahramanmaraş, the pearl of Turkey in agriculture is now included among the projects Masdaf provided solution partnership. In the project, Masdaf’s highly-efficient “SPLT series Detachable Body Double Suction Centrifugal Pumps” were preferred.

Providing water to approximately 50% of the 8.5 million hectares of agricultural land in the country since its establishment, the General Directorate of DSI continues its activities to ensure the balanced and continued production of agricultural products that the industry needs, in order to solve the unemployment problem of the working population in the agricultural industry and to construct irrigation facilities necessary to raise the living standards.

22 thousand and 500 decares of land will meet with water

Within the scope of the “Sireşanlı Pumping Irrigation Project 1st Section” established in Kahramanmaraş by DSI, after the irrigation water taken from Kartalkaya Dam waste outlet is raised by a maximum of 42 meters through the supply station,

22 thousand 500 decares of land on the right coast of Kartalkaya Dam will meet with water. With the irrigated farming to be made in the region, it is aimed to increase the income of the local farmers and to provide employment opportunities to 5,800 people. With this project; the fertile lands of Kahramanmaraş, the pearl of Turkey in agriculture, will come to life with the high pump technologies of Masdaf.

In the supply station the project built by ARGES İnşaat, Masdaf’s SPLT series Detachable Body Double Suction Centrifugal Pumps were preferred. The installation and commissioning works of the pumps built in accordance with the DSI technical specifications were made thoroughly by the specialised engineers of Masdaf.

System efficiency with maximum energy savings

During the commissioning of the SPLT series Detachable Body Double Suction Centrifugal Pumps that will provide system efficiency with maximum energy savings in the Sireşanlı Pumping Irrigation Station; “Connection control of pumps chassis and base assemblies, control of pump suction and discharge installation supports, control of compensator connection and compliance, control of pump installation connection, control of reduction, valve and check valve implementation sections, tightness control of pump and flange connections, separate coupling, control panel supply and motor cable connections and pressure control” were carried out and it was made sure that the system is working with high performance, efficiency and in a seamless manner.
