Denmark Rests Easy Since Masdaf is Keeping Their Ports Safe Against Fire

 After several correspondences with our customer; our team succeded to develop and install high capacity fire fighting pump sets to protect the ports of Denmark against fire

 Customer Demand

 Since the existing fire fighting pump sets in two important ports of Denmark could not meet the requirements, our customer asked for a special solution for this project

 Masdaf R&D Studies  

 We have redesigned our ENM series centrifugal pumps in accordance with the project as a result of big efforts of our R&D team. Thus, we have offered our “End-Suction Volute Casing FI-FI System Pumps” to high capacity fire pump demands, besides its use in firefighting boats thanks to the new design with special type bearing housing. Thus, we have sold 3 ENM 300-550 pumps with 800kw diesel engine with cardan shaft to each of the two separate ports in Denmark.

 Special Solution for the Project

 Since the installation of the pumps is under the water level in vessel applications, there is no risk of cavitation. Despite the elevation difference, we have installed our pumps above the Water level and successfully operated them in Danish ports. We have performed performance tests with suction conditions which we have not done for this kind pumps before. We put a lot of effort to obtain ideal results at every trial during the tests and we have succeeded to get the required results by trying different solutions. We have tested our high quality pumps which were especially developed for this project and delivered them without any problems.
