Industry Specific Pump Solutions of Masdaf Ensures "High Customer Satisfaction"

Explaining that approximately 20% of the electric energy consumed in the world and approximately 30% of the electric energy consumed in the industry are consumed by the pumps, Masdaf Business Development Manager Ahmet Yılmaz stated that offering project specific solutions in terms of process and energy efficiency is crucial.

Taking the attention to the importance of highly secure manufacturing of the industrial process pumps used in the industry, particularly in explosive and easy-flammable environments such as petroleum, chemistry and energy sectors, Mr. Yılmaz said: "The requirements of ATEX certification having international applicability should be taken as a compulsory reference by the investors in the selection of the pump."

Continuing its activities with its experience of around half century in pump sector and its customer focused product and service approach, Masdaf continues to ensure high customer satisfaction with its industry specific solutions.  Ensuring saving up to 30% from the electric energy consumed in the industries through the high-efficient and intelligent pump technologies, Masdaf offers solutions appropriate for requirements with its customized service approach.

Explaining that approximately 20% of the electric energy consumed in the world and approximately 30% of the electric energy consumed in the industry are consumed by the pumps, Masdaf Business Development Manager Ahmet Yılmaz stated that offering project’s specific solutions in terms of process and energy efficiency is crucial. Stating that the investment can pay for itself within a short time like 5-7 years in average through the energy consumption provided by means of the renovation of the current pump systems at the premises, Mr. Yılmaz mentioned that a saving up to 70% from the maintenance and repair expenses of the premises can be obtained.

Also pointing out the importance of analysing the data through the sensors connected to the internet in order to prevent the problems of the pump technologies in the industries that will cause the system to be interrupted, Mr. Yılmaz continued; "In order to optimize the power usage and continuity with intelligent sensor solutions used in pump technologies, it is necessary to collect and analyse data continuously by using internet-connected sensors. With the data obtained from the system, the average vibration values of the pumps, temperature, how it is used and when or why pumps operate outside expected conditions, in short, their performance can be analysed. Thus, we ensure that the enterprise prevents any damage that may occur in the system. At the same time, we share this data with our R&D team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and use it to develop high-quality pumps suitable for the requirements of the market. We offer a system solution via motor or panel in accordance with the requirements of our customer also in the frequency controls systems for which we established the scenarios to accurately use the pump systems and regulate per the load status. The correct selection of pipe diameters used in pumps is also among the issues we approach with precision. With the correct pipe diameter calculation, we prevent energy losses from friction. With the correct calculation, we ensure that costs are reduced both in the initial investment cost and operating costs.

Emphasizing the necessity of highly secure manufacturing of the industrial process pumps used in the industry, particularly in explosive and easy-flammable environments such as petroleum, chemistry and energy sectors, Mr. Yılmaz said: Within the frame of the "Directive on Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Mitigation of Their Consequences (96/82/EC), we are the first local pump brand that achieved to get ATEX certification in Turkey for NME Heavy Duty Pumps and Magnetically Coupled, Canned NM m-Drive series End Suction Pumps. The requirements of ATEX certification having international applicability should be taken as a compulsory reference by the investors. It is extremely important that the product can provide high security conditions as well as being economical. In environments containing flammable and explosive materials, it is not enough for the electric motor of the pump only to be ex-proof. The pump must be treated as a system and must comply with safety parameters in an integrity with its coupling, chassis, sealing, ground connection and even painting. ATEX certified pumps, or alias ex-proof (explosion proof: non-explosive) pumps, are the pumps that are manufactured by using motors and equipment specially designed to not cause spark, static electricity, and electric arc. It is mandatory to use ATEX certified pump in the systems where fluids with risk of explosion are used. All our ATEX pumps have been developed in accordance with the technical and safety requirements of ATEX directive numbered 2014/34/EU. Our current ATEX certified pumps have Zone 1 II 2G c Tx and Zone 2 II 3G c Tx codes."
