Masdaf, the leading brand in the pump industry, aims to prevent high energy consumption in facilities and to use global resources efficiently with its free survey service (energy efficiency measurement in pumps) and efficient pump technologies offered.
Masdaf, the leading brand in the pump industry, continues to create value for buildings and industries with its free survey service (energy efficiency measurement in pumps) and efficient pump technologies offered in renovation projects. Offering the investment required for energy efficiency in pump technologies in a concrete and visible way, Masdaf aims to prevent high energy consumption in facilities with its free survey service offered as part of the renovation projects.
Masdaf Sales Manager Cem Hanedanoğlu stated that the procurement cost of a pump constitutes 4% of life cycle costs, 6% of maintenance costs and 90% of energy costs and that with the service they offer as Masdaf in renovation projects, their aim is to increase energy efficiency in facilities with the right pump selection and high efficiency system design.
“We submit the “life cycle cost” analyses of the pumps as reports”
Stating that the pumps will wear out over time, their flow rates and total heads will decrease and therefore pump efficiency will decrease and energy consumption will increase, Hanedanoğlu said: As part of the free survey service we offer in renovation projects, we measure the energy efficiency of existing pumps. At the same time, we present our customers the analysis of “life cycle costs” of pumps. With the project specific high-efficiency pump selection, we enable industries to save between 30% to 40% on operating costs and 50% to 70% on maintenance costs. In addition, we aim to redeem the investment within a short period of 5 years and make the business profit.
Lüleburgaz Municipality Waste Water Treatment Plant
Explaining the service they offer as part of the renovation projects with the example of “Lüleburgaz Municipality Waste Water Treatment Plant”, Hanedanoğlu gave detailed information about the products and services they offer and the benefits of the businesses. Hanedanoğlu: “Lüleburgaz Municipality Waste Water Treatment Plant”, which was built and opened in 2013 to discharge waste water within the borders of the “Lüleburgaz Municipality and to reduce the pollution load in Ergene River, contacted Masdaf for the maintenance of decanter feed pumps in the “sludge dewatering building” of the treatment plant.
Reporting
Our After-Sales Service team informed the facility management that the mono pumps at the facility are quite worn and the price of the spare parts (such as stator and rotor) will be approximately twice the price of a new pump.
Result
Our report, which includes the savings to be achieved by the facility in case of renovation, was welcomed by the facility management and the renovation decision was taken. We recommended the self-priming UKM series pumps which have a different operating principle from the existing mono pumps to the Waste Water Treatment Plant. A single purchase was made at the first stage. At the end of a month of use, Masdaf's 5.5 kW UKM series pumps were found to be 50% more efficient than the existing 11 kW mono pumps. The company ordered 2 more of the UKM series pumps, which are 50% more efficient with half capacity at the end of the month. As Masdaf, we have offered a solution that enables the facility to save 50% on operating costs and 30% on initial investment costs with the UKM pumps, which we offer as an alternative to the “mono pumps” commonly used
