Masdaf's High Technology "Pump Test Station" Becomes Operational

The performance of the pumps can be monitored instantaneously and reported over the SCADA system using the "Pump Test Station", which was developed as a result of nearly two years of R&D studies using Masdaf's latest technology measuring devices and fully automated control systems.

 Masdaf, the pioneering brand in the pump sector, aims to measure its performances and guide its R&D studies in this context by testing its high-standard pump technologies at its newly developed pump test station and by adding another one to its investments of pump technologies that it has been making for the last 43 years. Masdaf plans to provide new services to pump manufacturers in the sector along with its customers and dealers with technology investments that make a difference in Turkish pump sector.

Aiming to provide high customer satisfaction and excellent customer experience in innovative pump technologies exported to the four corners of the world with its customer-oriented production approach, Masdaf offers transparent and measurable products to its customers with its pump test stand. Thus, the company allows its customers to see the high quality and performance of its pump technologies before they leave the manufacturing facilities. Pump Tests are carried out in accordance with the ISO 9906 pump test standard.

Performances of the "end suction pumps, inline pumps, double-suction split case pumps, fire pumps, multi-stage pumps, process pumps, submersible pumps, sump pumps, self-priming pumps and gear pumps" can be monitored instantaneously and reported over the SCADA system using the "Pump Test Station", which was developed as a result of nearly two years of R&D studies using Masdaf's latest technology measuring devices and fully automated control systems.  The station equipped with a flow capacity of max. 10,000 m³/h and main supply lines of Ø800 mm, has a significant water volume below and over the ground. Level-controlled NPSH tests of high-capacity products constituting problems for other pump companies can also be done. While testing products at variable speeds with its powerful inverter infrastructure, it also provides protection against instantaneous loading of valves and installations thanks to its controlled structure at initial speeds. The current installed power of 630 kW of the test station that can automatically perform tests of pumps with large flow capacity and power, is planned to be increased with a medium voltage investment. Thanks to the 10-ton mobile hoist operating at the test station, it is also possible to place the pumps with high capacity and volume on the station.

The vibration and long-term endurance tests of pump technologies can be carried out easily with monitoring systems, without any overheating problems. The length of the lines and the high water volume stabilize the flow over the installation thus reducing the load applied to the centrifugal pump measurement systems and increase the precision of the tests.  Operations such as manual opening and closing of valves during the testing of products and operations that present dangers due to high flow and pressure, can be performed over the automation system using the Masdaf, “Pump Test Station”. This helps to keep the safety of both the visitors participating in the test and the operators at a maximum level.
