Sustainability in Pump Sector Requires “Energy-Saving Products”!

Sharing opinions during Energy Saving Week Masdaf General Manager Vahdettin YIRTMAÇ indicated that “Sustainability in pump sector or any sectors that manufacture similar systems require “manufacturing economical products.”  Because, 20% of the total electric power in the world and approximately 30% of the industrial electric power is consumed by pumps. As Masdaf, our developed “innovative pump technologies” we offer up to 30% energy savings over the energy consumed at the facilities of our business partners.”

The established brand of pump sector Masdaf continues its activities regarding the “efficient use of energy”. Thanks to its developed economical pump technologies, Masdaf offers up to 30% consumed energy savings in businesses, and ensures an ROI rate of 4 to 5 years.

As Masdaf, our developed “innovative pump technologies” we offer up to 30% energy savings over the energy consumed at the facilities of our business partners.” However to have a short ROI window and make profit, solely having an “accurately designed product” is not sufficient, “selecting the correct pump” and having the suitable pump for the business is similarly important and requires a comprehensive engineering work. With this in mind, MAS Academy offers “system design/selection” training to increase the energy efficiency in systems opted by our business partners in buildings and industrial facilities. In the selection of an economic system, the yield of “pump, engine and inverter” is very important. System characteristic curve affects the pump selection materially. The less the losses in the system, less energy consumption is made. Therefore in piping installations, “the pipe diameter” is very important as well.”

YIRTMAÇ indicated that in an event of a system renovation, they offer energy savings and ROI as a report by measuring realised energy consumption in industrial facilities, said that: “The business’ projects regarding “energy saving” are supported by government incentives. The projects prepared in order to encourage the use of energy efficient equipment and systems, and prevent excess energy consumption are reviewed by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources as “Efficiency Increasing Projects (VAP)”. For projects with an investment fee of maximum 5 million TRY, government provides support with up to 30% as a grant. Industrial businesses that manufacture any kind of goods, operating as a member of the chamber of commerce and industry, with annual energy consumptions greater or equal to 500 TOE (tons of oil equivalent) can apply to benefit from VAP incentives. “Pump Technologies” are one of the topics covered by the incentive.”
