Masdaf Awarded with “Metal Industry Large Scale Business"

Masdaf, the leading brand of the pump sector in Turkey, was awarded the 13th Sectoral Performance Evaluation Award Ceremony hosted by Kocaeli Chamber of Industry in the category of "Metal Industry Large-scale Business” among the large-scale businesses operating in Marmara Region for their investments in R&D, innovation and branding.

In order to reward successful industrial organizations in Marmara Region, The Sectoral Performance Evaluation Award Ceremony organized by Kocaeli Chamber of Industry and Price Waterhouse Coopers, was held on November 25 with the participation of Kocaeli Governor  Seddar Yavuz, TOBB Chairman Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Yaşar Çakmak.

At the ceremony held online at Kocaeli International Congress Center, 24 companies were awarded a Large and Medium Business Award with SMEs. Masdaf, the leading brand in the pumping sector in Turkey, has been awarded the “Metal Industry Large Scale Enterprise" category for its investments in R&D, innovation and branding among large-scale organizations operating in the Marmara region.

Innovative firms awarded for providing added value to the economy

The organization, which works with high efficiency, attaches importance to innovation and the development of employees, achieves financially successful business results, creates added value to the economy of our country, contributes to the society for a sustainable future, aims to reward and raises awareness with efficiency, innovation and branding, financial results, foreign trade,  contribution to society, employment and development of employees.

Production facilities built on an area of 52,000 square meters

Vahdettin YIRTMAÇ, General Manager of Masdaf, who was awarded the award in the category of "Metal Industry Large-Scale Business" for his investments in R&D, innovation and branding, stated that they were proud to receive one of the most prestigious awards for industrial organizations in the Marmara Region. YIRTMAÇ continued: “As Masdaf, we are taking firm steps towards becoming a world brand with our innovative and competitive pump technologies that we have developed in our production facilities built on an area of 52,000 square meters. Throughout our nearly half century of history, we owe our sustainable growth to our engineering power, to closely follow the technological developments in the world, to in-house trainings, to our investments in production technologies, to our R&D and branding efforts. All of this has brought growth and leadership. In the future, we will continue our investments without slowing down."

“We protect the country's resources with our productivity-oriented efforts”

YIRTMAÇ emphasized in his speech that companies that use energy and water resources efficiently can provide sustainable growth. By addressing the issue specifically for the pump, he pointed out the importance of “smart pump" technologies in terms of efficient use of water and energy resources: “According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), we are on our way to becoming a “water poor" country with our increasing population. Effective and efficient management of wastewater generated after both raw water transfer and distribution and use is vital for the ecosystem and therefore for our future. As Masdaf, we develop efficient technologies for the supply of water, which is our source of life. There is no effective use in our energy resources as well as in our water resources. In the last decade, energy consumption in the European Union and OECD countries has increased by 18.8% to 16.4%, and this rate has reached 31.2% in our country. Our pumps, which we call the heart of buildings and businesses, also play an active role in energy consumption. Because 30% of the energy consumed in buildings and industrial facilities is consumed by pumps. For this reason, as Masdaf, we aim to use energy resources effectively as well as water resources with our smart pump technologies. With the productivity-oriented efforts of our R&D, we both protect the country's resources and bring Masdaf to the leadership by establishing a sustainable bond with our customers."
